About Taylor Rodriguez
Trauma therapist in San Bernardino, California & across Missouri
Whatever pain or struggle brought you here, I want you to know, I’m truly honored to walk with you from this point.
Hi, I’m Taylor Rodriguez – Licensed Clinical Social Worker, trauma therapist, EMDR practitioner, and founder of Dwell Therapy.
I help women and teens find healing, hope, and strength after trauma. Whether you're navigating PTSD, anxiety, past pain, or spiritual questions, you're not alone—and you don’t have to figure it all out by yourself.
I know what it's like to feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure where to begin. That’s why I created Dwell Therapy - offer others the kind of compassionate care I once needed myself. Therapy changed my life, and now I have the honor of walking alongside others on their healing journeys.
A space to Dwell - not just to cope.
The name Dwell Therapy comes from Psalm 27:4, a verse that’s close to my heart:
“One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life,
to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple.”
This verse is about safety, presence, and peace. That’s exactly what I want my therapy practice to be. A place where you can dwell, not just survive. A place where you feel safe, seen, and supported as you process hard things and step into healing.
Whether or not you come from a faith background, Dwell Therapy is built on the belief that you’re worthy of care, hope, and restoration.
From Surviving to Thriving
Let me be honest: I didn’t become a therapist because I had it all together. I became a therapist because I didn’t. Like many of my clients, I’ve lived through trauma and walked the long road of recovery from PTSD.
I know the sleepless nights. The panic that sneaks up out of nowhere. The confusion, the numbness, the self-doubt. I also know how powerful it is when someone looks you in the eye, holds space for your pain, and helps you take the next right step.
I started Dwell Therapy to be that someone for others.
Today, I specialize in helping women and teens move through trauma, anxiety, and life transitions with clarity and courage. I’m deeply committed to creating a space that’s warm, authentic, and nonjudgmental, where you can be fully yourself
What does therapy with Taylor look like?
-
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) practicing in both California and Missouri, I provide trauma-informed therapy with specialties including:
EMDR Therapy (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing): A powerful, evidence-based approach to treating trauma and PTSD. EMDR helps you reprocess painful memories so they no longer hijack your nervous system.
Christian Counseling (if desired): I offer faith-based support for those who want to integrate spirituality into their healing journey. No pressure. This is always optional and tailored to you.
Support for Women & Teens: Whether you’re facing anxiety, self-esteem challenges, grief, relational struggles, or past trauma, we’ll work together to create a path toward healing.
I’m not a therapist who just nods and says, “Mm-hmm.” I’m interactive, encouraging, and real. If you need a therapist who can hold deep space and laugh with you along the way, you’re in the right place

Therapy with me isn’t about fixing you, because you’re not broken. It’s about helping you remember who you are, reclaim your voice, and learn how to feel safe in your body and story again.
Clients have told me they appreciate that I’m calm, grounded, and easy to talk to. (Also, I love a good metaphor, so be prepared for the occasional therapy analogy involving gardening, camping, or obscure movie references.)
I’ll always meet you where you are, with grace, honesty, and a healthy dose of humor when it’s needed.
This is a space where you can:
Cry without apology
Laugh in the middle of hard things
Ask messy questions
Learn practical tools
Be your full self

When I’m not in session, you can usually find me:
Playing guitar and singing (music is therapy too!)
Reading anything from trauma theory to sweet romance.
Camping under the stars (yes, I will bring way too many snacks)
Watching reality tv or movies. I love a good rom com or action movie.
I’m also someone who values faith, authenticity, and connection. I believe healing is important work and I never take it for granted when someone lets me be part of their journey.
